Naurt Address Validator Privacy Policy

Overview

Naurt Address Validator is operated by Naurt. This policy explains what information the Shopify app processes, why it is processed, and how to contact us about privacy requests.

Information We Process

• Shopify shop and installation session information.
• Checkout address text typed by the buyer when address suggestions are requested.
• The selected checkout country code.
• Monthly service totals, such as request counts, outcomes, and response times. These totals do not contain buyer address text.
• Service and security logs needed to operate the app.

How We Use Information

We use the checkout address text and selected country code to return address suggestions inside Shopify Checkout. We use Shopify shop and installation session information to keep the app installed, authenticated, and operational for the merchant.

Naurt API Processing

The app sends address query text and country code to Naurt services to retrieve deliverable address suggestions. The Naurt API key is kept on the app server and is not exposed in checkout.

Data Storage

The app stores Shopify installation sessions so the app can remain installed and authenticated. The app does not store buyer address searches or Naurt address suggestion responses in its application database. It stores aggregate monthly service totals so merchants and Naurt can monitor reliability and usage.

Data Sharing

We do not sell buyer address data. Address query data is processed by Naurt only to provide the app service. Shopify may process app installation, billing, checkout, and merchant account data according to Shopify policies.

Security

We restrict access to app systems and keep secrets, including the Naurt API key, server-side. We use HTTPS for production app traffic and rely on Shopify session-token authentication for checkout extension requests to the app server.

Retention

Shopify installation session records are retained while the app is installed and as needed for security, legal, and operational purposes. Aggregate shop usage totals are deleted when the app is uninstalled or when Shopify sends the applicable shop-redaction request. Buyer address query text is used transiently for suggestion requests and is not stored by this app.
